POBG-thats for you Daddy

James 1:

2. Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Our team has experienced a slight trouble. Our team leader Bethany has broken her foot in two places. She had surgery last night and they put a metal rod right above her ankle for support. It will permanently stay in. The doctors have been amazing here, speak pretty good English. I stayed the night with her last night and she is in a lot of pain. So please keep her and our team in your prayers! She has such an awesome attitude and the team is staying strong!

We have such awesome hospitality here! An Aussie family that helped start Destiny Rescue is taking her in while she recovers, as well as the rest of us! We do not want the enemy to separate us so we are sticking together! She is in the hospital until Sunday.

We are headed up to the hill tribes this weekend without her. Our theme song is "Aint nothing going to break my stride, Nobody´s going to slow me down, Oh no, I have got to keep on moving." So for the rest of our time we are keeping on, keeping on! The hill tribes are an interesting culture. They are the outcasts of Thailand. They feel unwanted and neglected. They hate most Christians and want nothing to do with them. A lot of the hill tribes are into dealing drugs because it is easy money. Thailand is a 100 % drug free, so when police catch onto this they will go to the tribe and completely burn it down. So Destiny Rescues long term goal is to build lasting friendships with them. So they go in and pick up trash for them, build fish ponds and just serve them. So our team is putting on a skit and singing some songs.. HA should be interesting. We are spending the weekend there with them. A group of about 15 of us going up!

Well outreach has been a crazy FULL ON adventure thus far. Digging in mud for hours at a time and getting blisters, to picking up trash for hours and killing our backs! Then there is a lot of time with AMAZING kids that speak no English. Monday we get to start working with some of the girls that have been rescued out of prostitution! I'm super stoked to start that! The life lesson I have learned so far is, rely fully on God and keep a positive/encouraging attitude!!!!

Well Happy New Years to you all!! What a way to start it off in Thailand and in the hospital! Got to love it! God is teaching me so much I am so thankful to be here!
